Jim Elliott studied Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art between 1984-87. Remaining in Cornwall during the 1990s, he designed, made and toured twenty plays with Miracle Theatre Company and designed five short films with Wild West Films, plus a foray into book illustration. After relocating to London in 1999 he designed and directed some fringe theatre and directed Purcell’s ‘Dido and Aeneas’ with the Chelsea Consort. After eight years working in the classical music industry managing the shops at the English National Opera and Royal Festival Hall he left in 2007 and determined on returning to life as a painter.
